Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. It traps millions in fear, silence, and violence — and it’s happening everywhere, right now.
On July 30 – World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, UniNetra stands with survivors, raises awareness, and strengthens the global call to end all forms of human trafficking.
What is Human Trafficking?
Human trafficking involves exploiting people for profit — often through forced labor, sexual exploitation, organ trafficking, or child soldiering. Victims are mostly women, children, migrants, and the poor, manipulated by fear or deception.
🔴 Over 50 million people are trapped in modern slavery worldwide (Global Estimates 2024 – ILO, Walk Free).
Real Stories, Real Pain — Survivor Voices
“I was promised a job abroad. Instead, I was locked away and forced to work without pay.” – Survivor, Asia
“At 14, I was sold into domestic slavery. I never saw my family again.” – Survivor, West Africa
UniNetra partners with shelters, lawyers, and community responders to rescue, rehabilitate, and empower survivors to rebuild their lives.

Key international frameworks:
- UN Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons
